Cheapflights.co.uk<\/a> and last year was named the best pub in the UK for a seaside pint by online booking platform Enjoy Travel.<\/p>\nBrione MacMillan, who ran the pub with her late husband Cliff Webley before handing over control to their son Stuart, said hooking up with Harlech Foodservice in the early 1970s – and the availability of electricity to serve food – \u201cchanged the face of the business completely\u201d.<\/p>\n
That relationship continues to this day, with Harlech Foodservice supplying the historic pub, which was initially a vicarage built in 1823 before becoming an inn in 1842.<\/p>\n
According to Brione, the relationship with Cricieth-based Harlech, which was founded by Colin and Gill Foskett in 1972, had played a vital role in helping the pub to taste such huge success.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cWe have been at T\u0177 Coch since 1968 and we went to Harlech Foodservice in 1973 when we got electricity.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen we first went to the pub, there was no electricity, we did have water, it was very basic.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe first year we ran on Tilley lamps and candles, then after we functioned for a year we could afford to buy a very old and very old decrepit generator and that did the lights.<\/p>\n
\u201cBefore getting electricity we used to sell pickled eggs, pickled cockles and mussels and the occasional pork pie – we had no refrigeration.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was only because we had electricity that we could start selling meals and that was the beginning of the relationship with Harlech Foodservice and their service has always been excellent.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brione\u00a0 added: \u201cIt is a glorious location, and it is unique in the fact that you can\u2019t drive to it, you have to walk to it.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have had dozens of famous people over the years, The biggest name was probably Demi Moore who was filming locally.<\/p>\n
\u201cDavid Cameron rocked up at Easter one year with his family while he was Prime Minister.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have had rugby players, footballers, Kyle Walker for example, and Coronation Street stars.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSocial media has obviously opened us up to a huge amount of people and we are now very much a destination pub.<\/p>\n
Brione has now handed the reins over to Stuart to run the pub but she still does the books and banking.<\/p>\n
She also has a catering kitchen at her home where she helps prepare food to be served at the pub.<\/p>\n
Stuart says the TikTok revolution is opening up the pub to a whole new generation of fans around the globe.<\/p>\n
Now a constant stream of A-list TikTok influencers are beating a path to the pub to record content for their millions of followers.<\/p>\n
Stuart, 47, who has lived in the pub all his life, said: \u201cWhat we have been getting a lot of the last few of years is famous TikTokkers but I can\u2019t name any of them to be honest.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere was one guy with five million subscribers, two of my staff went \u2018he\u2019s famous\u2019 but I had no idea who he was, I still don’t.\u201d<\/p>\n
Stuart praised Harlech Foodservice for the service it provides.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cThe relationship with Harlech has been going for a long time and that is because Harlech\u2019s service is fantastic, their delivery drivers are great and very friendly, their reps are friendly and they provide great products.\u201d<\/p>\n
Harlech Foodservice Territory\u00a0Account\u00a0Manager Chris Carr works closely with Brione and Stuart to ensure their food needs are covered, and paid tribute to how they have continued to successfully run the pub.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cThe location is obviously absolutely terrific but the people at the pub are fantastic too.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe pub has a brilliant reputation as a pub for locals too, it is not just a hotspot for tourists and social media influencers.<\/p>\n
\u201cLocals come down and enjoy it, the community in Nefyn is superb and the pub brings it all together.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo have such a long-standing relationship between Harlech and the pub is absolutely wonderful.<\/p>\n

The T\u0177 Coch Inn is one of many long-standing customers Harlech Foodservice has on its books, and the family-run company continues to grow.<\/p>\n
It has enjoyed rapid expansion in recent years and has added new hubs in Carmarthen, Caerphilly and Telford to its long-established centres in Cricieth and Chester.<\/p>\n
