There were tears of joy when a renowned male voice choir paid a surprise visit to a care home to sing happy birthday to a much-loved former member who lives there.

A care home owner has slammed Flintshire County Council as the “meanest in Wales” after it was named and shamed for providing the lowest funding anywhere.
